Sixteen months. Seventy thousand visits to 1.6 million.

Thirteen years across seven industries. Every number below came out of Search Console or Analytics — no modelled projections, no "estimated value," no rounding in our favour. Where a result was achieved in-house rather than as a consultant, we say so.

Watcho, and what it takes to outrank Netflix on the long tail.

Watcho is DishTV's streaming platform. Organic had been flat at roughly 70,000 monthly visits with no growth thesis behind it. Sixteen months later it was doing 1.6 million.

The situation

Four problems, in the order they had to be solved

You can't out-content Netflix, Prime and Hotstar on head terms. What you can do is make every long-tail title, genre and cast query resolve to a page that actually deserves to rank — which first requires a site that Google can crawl and understand.

What was in the way

  • No content architecture — pages sat isolated, unlinked, and cannibalising each other
  • Thousands of duplicate and thin pages indexed, burning the crawl budget
  • No topical authority: no clusters, no entity associations in the index
  • Competing against Netflix, Prime and Hotstar on a fraction of the domain authority

What was actually done

Deduplicated and pruned the index, then rebuilt internal linking around genre and title clusters
Fixed crawl budget waste — parameter handling, canonical logic, pagination
Built entity associations for titles, cast and genres so Google could place the catalogue
Scaled programmatic templates across title and genre pages, with editorial depth on the head
Monthly cadence of pruning, consolidation and internal-link rebalancing as the site grew

"Fix the technical foundation, then build topical authority, then scale content. Simple in principle — execution was the hard part, and it compounded every single month."Ankit Singh · Founder, GetYouRank

A dominant competitor with far higher authority, and a legacy Laravel codebase mid-migration to Next.js. The work split between competitive strategy and protecting equity through the replatform.

Two separate disasters stacked on top of each other — a March 2025 core update decline and a summer redesign that broke crawlability. Most recovery attempts fail because nobody separates the two.

TruckJunction: winning a market you don't lead.

Commercial vehicle marketplace · Automotive · India

TruckJunction (trucks.tractorjunction.com) is one of India's largest commercial vehicle research and buying platforms. Two things made it hard: TrucksDekho held meaningfully more domain authority, and the site was mid-migration from a legacy Laravel stack to Next.js — the exact moment most sites quietly lose a third of their organic traffic.

The strategy ran on two tracks. First, competitive intelligence: Semrush-verified gap analysis against TrucksDekho, 91Trucks, TrucksBuses and CarDekho, turned into a 90-day plan targeting 1M+ Search Console clicks and sequenced by which gaps were cheapest to close. Second, defence: designing the rendering architecture for the Next.js migration so the replatform cost nothing in equity.

Competitive intelligence deck benchmarking four direct competitors on keyword, content and link gaps
90-day battle plan with keyword gap analysis and a top-pages audit, prioritised by effort-to-impact
Next.js rendering strategy — an SSR / SSG / ISR decision framework, page type by page type
Screaming Frog crawl of 31K+ URLs with mixed-content root cause analysis
Master content template for vehicle pages, plus a forensic LCP audit for page speed
Weekly GSC performance tracker and rank-movement alerting, built in Google Apps Script
Migrations are where SEO equity goes to die, and the damage is usually invisible until the traffic report lands six weeks later. Deciding rendering strategy per page type — before launch, not after — is the single highest-leverage thing you can do on a replatform.Ankit Singh · Founder, GetYouRank

mymmjdoctor.com: two collapses, one traffic graph.

Medical cannabis telehealth · YMYL · United States

mymmjdoctor.com connects US patients with licensed physicians for medical marijuana certifications. It arrived with a traffic graph that looked like a single catastrophe but was actually two, stacked: an algorithmic decline from Google's March 2025 core update, then a technical collapse triggered by a July–August 2025 redesign.

The audit isolated both with evidence. The algorithmic half traced to E-E-A-T and YMYL trust deficits — thin author attribution, no medical review signals, weak entity association for a category Google scrutinises harder than almost any other. The technical half traced to the redesign introducing critical crawlability and indexation failures. A full recovery plan was delivered alongside a client presentation separating the two timelines.

Algorithmic and technical declines need different fixes on different clocks — technical recovery can land in weeks, quality recovery usually waits for the next core update. Treating them as one problem is the most common mistake made after a core update, and it's why so many recovery efforts stall.Ankit Singh · Founder, GetYouRank

The framework

The order matters more than the list.

Every case above ran through the same six stages, in this sequence. Skipping ahead is what makes SEO budgets disappear.

01

Forensic audit

Full technical crawl, GSC analysis, competitor benchmarking, content audit. No strategy before diagnosis — ever.

02

Technical foundation

Crawlability, indexation and Core Web Vitals before a single new page. Good content on a broken base just wastes budget.

03

Topical authority

Content clusters, internal link architecture and entity optimisation that make the site a source rather than a keyword collection.

04

Authority acquisition

Editorially placed links from publications your buyers actually read. Digital PR, HARO, guest posts. No PBNs, no paid placements.

05

Measurement

Weekly GSC tracking, rank-movement alerts, monthly strategy reviews. Double down on what moves, cut what doesn't.

06

AI search visibility

Structured data, FAQ markup, named attribution and author credentials, so the brand gets cited in AI Overviews and assistants.
